In this press statement, we express our concerns as regards ‘reciprocal production standards’ and the proposal to ban the import of products from third countries, where pesticidies not authorised in the EU have been used in the production process. Unilateral imposition of standards without recourse to different production conditions and without any discussion will only result in trade retaliation.
