CELCAA, the European Umbrella organisation representing the trade in agri-food and commodities, welcomes the announcement of a modernised EU-Mexico trade deal. The information thus far available are promising and meet the expectations of the EU agri-food traders, in particular the increased market access of EU agri-food products to Mexico; the protection of Geographical Indications; the transparent import approval procedures with clear timelines and the fact that Mexico recognizes the EU as a single entity.
