CELCAA had the pleasure and privilege of co-organising with the Mexican-European Union Chamber of Commerce an event in support of the modernised EU-Mexico FTA. The celebration of EU-Mexican agri-food trade was kindly hosted by the Mission of Mexico in Brussels. Attendees heard about the robust opportunities which exist on both markets, pending the ultimate conclusion of a deal, for which the ‘agreement in principle’ took place in April 2018. While doubtlessly still orientated towards trade with its northern neighbour, Mexican food stands to enjoy a growing presence in the EU. Likewise, the potential for increased demand for EU dairy is very promising.
After the substantive part of the event, guests enjoyed various Mexican delicacies.
